Big Brother Bush Cheney Rumsfeld As you have no doubt noticed by now, many people and blogs are accusing the Bush regime of being similar to, if not outright, fascists. This caused Donald Rumsfeld to lash out by accusing his critics (most of the world) and the Iraq war critics (most of the world) as being like Nazis. What a grown-up!
Today, Iran defied the Bush regime and decided to go ahead with their nuclear plans, whatever they are. I wish we as citizens had such in-your-face power to wield. Meanwhile, Bush continues to use language against U.S. citizens as a subversive weapon. By constantly repeating the phrase, “I don’t consider anyone who disagrees with the war as unpatriotic” he is in fact telling everyone that that is exactly what he thinks. We’re on to you George! Today Bush is again on the offensive in defending the mess that is his war and again . . . he gave a speech today and promised there will be more to come. Bush is, after all, little more than a PR and propaganda figurehead. (Please let that be true.) He remarked:

“In the coming days, I’ll deliver a series of speeches describing the nature of our enemy in the war on terror, the insights we’ve gained about their aims and ambitions, the successes and setbacks we’ve experienced, and our strategy to prevail in this long war,” Mr. Bush said.”

Great - then we’ll all know what’s going on. Not! Who does this creature think he’s fooling? Then he said, “Doubtless familiar with polls showing increasing numbers of Americans drawing a distinction between the Iraq war and a larger battle against terrorism, Mr. Bush invoked the approaching anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks to rebut that view.” What an idiot if he thinks we’re going to buy what he’s selling. Because Americans are nothing if not policy geniuses. What I hate is the fact that Karl Rove knows Americans are too busy working three jobs because of the great economy to pay attention to the facts in the news as opposed to Bush’s blatant propaganda.

Here’s my real question: How far will Bush go in defense of his Grand Plan or scheme, or whatever it is? Yesterday, (thanks to the Twilight and Thebes podcast) I learned that the Bush team just submitted a new plan to keep people - whoever he feels like - incarcerated forever with a certain enemy combatant designation until the conflict is over or the world ends, whichever comes first. They are trying to overturn the Supreme Court Hamden decision. Here is a great discussion of this despicable plan, “We’re All Enemy Combatants Now“. He is attempting to set up martial law and a Police State forever, folks. The article states: “According to the draft, the military would be allowed to detain all “enemy combatants” until hostilities cease. The bill defines enemy combatants as anyone “engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners who has committed an act that violates the law of war and this statute.” Let me go on record as finding this . . . . alarming. How many of our rights to they want do get rid of? Oh yeah, all of them.

We have to hope like hell this doesn’t become law because if it does, Net Neutrality sure won’t matter. All the detractors, dissenters, or Bush ‘opponents’ and us anti-war people will be in jail, sans computers, indefinitely. We can’t let the fascists win this because if they do, our country is history.

  1. Does it seem to you like Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld are becoming desperate in their recent speeches? And this whole, let’s call them fascist before everyone figures out it’s us, strategy is also an act of desperation? Part of me wants to believe that they are scared, that they know their days are numbered, that they might not be able to complete their mission to take over the world. The more times they use their terrorist rhetoric the more time people have to question everything. Even 911 Truth seems to be making headway into the mainstream.
I think they are afraid. Let’s just hope they don’t get the opportunity to take huge numbers of people down with them when they lose power.

  2. Thanks for the shout out Shelly. I was very disturbed by this latest tactic from Bush Inc. as well. It’s like they’re just seeing how much they can get away with on their dominate the world mission.
